DSX-80, DSX-160, DS2000
All wiring connects to the NEC DSX-80/160 and DS2000 behind the front cover on the cabinet.
There are 8-wire ("RJ45" type) modular jacks on the circuit boards inside the cabinet, used for connecting phones, lines, door intercoms, etc.
We STRONGLY recommend that you install surge protectors for the AC power line, and each phone line.
The connections for lines (NEC calls them "trunks") and phones ("extensions") are shown below:
